Consumer Alert from the Federal Trade Commission

Hello,

I wanted to share with you some information from the Federal Trade Commission advising consumers of a scam regarding Social Security Numbers. Below, you will find a link to the article on the FTC's website.

The FTC's website also has useful information on how best to protect yourself against identity theft, utility scams, tech support scams, and other scams.  I am also including a link, below, to the FTC Consumer Information Page titled "Pass it On". This page offers information on Identity Theft, Imposter Scams, Charity Fraud, Health Care Scams and so on.

Unfortunately, these types of calls happen all to often. I, personally get several a day on both my home phone and mobile number. I choose to not answer the call or to hang up on the caller.

We are here to assist you and hope you find this information to be useful.

Best regards,

Mike
